Calling All Novelists!

Wahmpreneur Books and LughnassadhBooks.com Announce Their Second Annual Fiction Manuscript Contest

Sidney, NY -- Aspiring novelists with a yen to see their work in print are invited to enter the 2003 Fiction Manuscript Contest co-sponsored by Wahmpreneur Books and LughnassadhBooks.com.

You never know what's going to happen.

Last year, the co-sponsors were forced to terminate the contest and return all entry fees due to an insufficient number of entries. But, in spite of the premature end of the contest, one particular entry caught their eye.

The result was the upcoming release from Brighid's Fire Books entitled The Hades Project by horror writer and first-time novelist Justin Gustainis. The novel will be released in September 2003, and is currently in negotiation for motion picture feature production.

"The Hades Project was a truly spectacular find," says publisher Dawn Rivers Baker, owner and operator of Wahmpreneur Publishing, Inc. "This is exactly the kind of top-notch work we had hoped to find through this contest. We're really excited about it."

Hopeful writers are invited to send their name, address, email address and telephone number, along with the first two chapters of their manuscript and the $25 entry fee, to Fiction Manuscript Contest, Wahmpreneur Books, P.O. Box 41, Sidney, NY 13838.

Contest entries will be accepted from March 1st through June 30th. Ten finalists will be name on or before October 1, 2003 and the grand prize winner will be announced on New Years Day 2004. First prize is a publishing contract with Wahmpreneur Books, which will include a $2,000 cash advance and a spot on the 2004 list of scheduled releases from fiction imprint Brighid's Fire Books. Second place and third place prizes will also be awarded $500 and $250, respectively.
